Royal Doulton A to D

On this page, we have grouped the Royal Doulton patterns in alphabetical order from A to D.

John Doulton and John Watts founded in 1815 the company using the name Doulton & Co. In the beginning, this manufacturer specialized in industrial stoneware and decorative garden pottery. Later, at the end of the 19th century, it branched out into art pottery and the production of bone china dinnerware.

Its artisans developed an enviable reputation for the quality of their figurines, character jugs and vases as well as for their china patterns.

Eventually, Royal Doulton took over the Minton and Royal Albert works. The company is now part of the Waterford Wedgwood group.
