Hammersley

“Harvey Adams & Co.” had previously operated the plant in Stoke-on-Trent that Hammersley Co. purchased in 1887 to set up its operations. Hammersley continued producing fine bone china dinnerware until selling out to Copeland (Spode) in 1966. Royal Worcester, in turn, purchased Spode in 1976. The new owners continued producing fine bone china tableware under the respected Hammersley name until 1988.

Despite their closure, Hammersley has maintained its reputation for having finely crafted elegant china. Their bone china dinnerware continues to grace dining tables in homes around the world.
